Under appropriate circumstances, Stanford's Title IX Coordinator is empowered to issue temporary no contact directives to ensure there is no contact between accused students and complainants. This is considered a supportive measure and is not appropriate in all cases. If an accused student is found responsible or if the accused party agrees to stay away, a no contact could become an ongoing restriction for so long as the complainant is a student.
Please note that requesting a No Contact directive will result in a formal notification to the University.
