Under appropriate circumstances, Stanford's Title IX Coordinator is empowered to issue temporary no contact directives to ensure there is no contact between accused students and complainants. This is considered an interim measure and is not appropriate in all cases. Generally interim measures remain in place while the University investigates an allegation. If an accused student is found responsible or if the accused party agrees to stay away, a no contact could become an ongoing restriction for so long as the complainant is a student.
Please note that requesting a No Contact directive will result in a formal notification to the University.
